Owner & Director of Woodstock Strings | Violin & Viola Teacher

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, University of North Texas | Suzuki Training Certification, Atlanta Suzuki Institute.
EXPERIENCE: Over 15 years of experience teaching private violin/viola lessons and group ensembles | Classy Chicks Trio, violist & violinist | High-school Member of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra | Accompanying artists/ensembles such as Michael Buble, Rod Stewart, David Crowder Band, Passion Conference, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance, University of Oklahoma | Master of Music in Viola Performance, University of Colorado Boulder | Suzuki Teacher Training, University of Colorado Boulder with Bill Starr.
EXPERIENCE: Over 12 years performing with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic | Suzuki-certified teacher with extensive private and group teaching experience | Live performances with Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Rod Stewart, Michael Bublé, The Eagles, and Gregory Alan Isakov.
LOVES: Inspiring students to grow in confidence and creativity | Bringing joy and challenge to lessons (often with corgi cameos) | Leading praise and worship with her husband.
FAMILY: Married to Ben | Mother to two amazing kids, Harper and Ezra | Proud owner of Huckleberry, the “world’s worst but most lovable” Corgi.

Mandi Crosby

Violin and Viola Teacher

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, University of North Texas | Studied with Philip Lewis | Performed in the Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Anshel Brusilow | Suzuki Violin Method Certification.
EXPERIENCE: Over 20 years teaching private and group violin lessons | Former teacher with Atlanta’s Suzuki Talent Education Program | Freelance violinist for weddings, worship services, and concerts | Performances at the Fox Theatre, Gas South Arena, and Coca-Cola Roxy | Shared the stage with prominent musicians in Atlanta area venues.
LOVES: Helping students of all ages learn violin | Developing strong technique, ear training, and music reading skills | Serving in worship ministry.

William Goodwin

Cello Teacher

EDUCATION: Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Music, University of Louisville.
EXPERIENCE: Over 10 years of study on the cello | 4 years experience in private teaching | Played in both chamber groups and youth orchestras throughout the Atlanta area, including Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra | Has traveled the country to attend and participate in various music festivals.
LOVES: Philosophy and ethics | Video games and movies | Being with friends and family | Art and Music in its many forms.
FAMILY:Middle sibling of 3 | Received both private and public education | Son of a Psychiatrist and a Lawyer.
CLASSICAL FAVORITES: Any of the J.S. Bach suites for cello | Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, and Beethoven.
FAVORITE MUSICAL EXPERIENCE: Performing a solo cello piece called Julie-O at my High School senior dinner and getting to share my love of music with my classmates.

Evelyn Timmerman

Violin Teacher

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental & General Music Education (K–12), DePauw University | Suzuki Training with Vera McCoy Sulentic.
EXPERIENCE: Began violin at age 6 through the Suzuki Method | Performed with Holland Youth Symphony Orchestra, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, and New England Music Camp | Studied with Julia Neckermann and Davis Brooks | Over 2 years teaching violin to students ages 5–60 in Indiana and Georgia.
LOVES: Taking dance classes (ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap) | Baking bread | Spending time with family & friends.
FAMILY: Originally from Michigan | Proud cat mom of two.
CLASSICAL FAVORITES: Shostakovich, Mahler, Sibelius, Dvorak, and Tchaikovsky.
FAVORITE MUSICAL EXPERIENCE: Performing in the pit orchestra for a Carmel, Indiana production.
